Yammer - Great if it's the only tool you use.
Yammer is implemented at our institution as another avenue for employees to connect and create engagement. This was implemented prior to the 2020 pandemic but has been accelerated in its use since.
- It integrates into Office 365
- It provides company-wide connection on one platform
- It has mobile and desktop support
- It competes with tools present in other Office 365 products
- While integrated, it isn't intuitively accessible from multiple points in the ecosystem
- Other products achieve Yammer's outcomes in better ways

Microsoft Yammer Review
Microsoft Yammer is being used to connect grade levels across multiple school buildings within our district. It allows teachers that do not always see each other to share ideas and resources without it being lost in the day to day hustle and bustle.
- The feed allows you to see what is going on at a time that is convenient for you.
- You can join into conversations, like, reply, in a way that is comfortable for you when time allows.
- Easy to share resources and information with colleagues.
- Poll staff as needed to gather opinions.
- Organization Layout, maybe some ability to add more organization, such as color coding, etc.
Microsoft Yammer is used for the general direction of communication, dissemination and information of the company.
It is being used for the fulfillment of the following tasks: issuing of official communications to the staff, establishing communications between the executives of the company, organizing the logistics for the operation of business and personal events, publishing relevant and confidential information. Thanks to Yammer, the company has managed to strengthen the communication among the staff, obtaining favorable results through the optimization of the processes.

- I do not like the communications interface, I think they should improve the image, they should carry out a usability study in order to adapt the programs to different clients.

- Must offer a more creative and innovative image with aims that boost the creative sense of the staff.

Yet another "space" across the organization
As a part of Microsoft 365 subscription Yammer is using across the whole organization.
Marketing, HR and some other departments are not into another "team messagers", so through Yammer all departments can be notified with a important / interesting information. Yammer provides an effective way of communication in both small and large groups of people at one time. It's kinda like a company's "Facebook"

Yammer - Easy collaboration for large and small
I use Microsoft Yammer as part of a non-profit technical consortium that our organization is a member of. It is used to collaborate between various working groups for users in many different similar organizations. Users can post questions in a variety of groups organized by topic, track responses, and get alerts to topics or threads of interest.
- Organizing users into groups and providing tools to those groups
- Social networking with other users within the organization/network
- Excellent notification options (e-mail, etc)
- Clean, easy-to-understand user interface
- Can be difficult to get phone support if there are questions
- Some of the tools are not quite as feature-rich as competitor products
- Integration with Office 365 suite can be a little confusing because there is feature overlap (for example, Yammer vs Teams, or Yammer vs Sharepoint)

The best social network to share jobs in the company
The company uses Yammer as a social network only in some departments that are involved, to be able to share projects and among all the people involved to share the experience, solutions to problems if they arise or simply to give opinions about it.
- It works to find solutions quickly to problems that arise in a project or work that is performed
- The people involved can comment and give opinions to projects and shared documents
- All the work team that is involved can be kept informed
- As it is very similar to the social networks that are currently used, it is very easy to use for all users
- It helps you reduce time in those meetings later and are not boring as the conversations are more interactive through Yammer
- Without an internet connection, you can not have interaction with other co-workers
- Only used if you have Office 365
- Many companies install it and do not use it because it seems unhelpful

This portfolio also includes blueKiwi, Jive, Socialcast as well as IBM Connections and Microsoft Sharepoint. We use the appropriate tools to various customers depending on business needs and requirements. Yammer is used widely as the collaboration-enabler in organisations often using existing Microsoft solutions including Sharepoint and office 365. We use it to enable zero email in some organizations or to compliment and enhance communication in others.
- Group creation and management is extremely straightforward, enabling the fast buildup of your network
- Document and content integration makes is easy to gather information and work around specific subjects.
- Large existing client base and adoption makes it very fast to include your partners, customers and other externals; many are already available in Yammer
- The well supported used of tags (subjects) makes organizing content fast
- The dependency on email as means of notification engine makes the risk of information spamming clear and present
- The SaaS only delivery model will keep some organizations away; they may require on-premise
